Our Logo

Our logo features the silhouette of a perched olive-sided flycatcher. This bird is known to Tsay Keh Dene Elders as a patient and watchful creature that can be found throughout our territory. It is an at-risk species that relies on both forest openings and older forest habitats to thrive.

At Finlay Forest Management, we have chosen the olive-sided flycatcher as our emblem to remind us of the importance of balancing economic growth with ecological sustainability. The fact that it is a species at risk highlights the importance of striking this balance, as we work towards generating economic stimulus from forest harvest while maintaining the many ecological benefits that we receive from an intact forest ecosystem.

We take pride in our logo and what it represents. As a company, we strive to be patient and watchful in our professional practice to ensure that we incorporate ecological values into our product. This balance is crucial for the well-being of our community, and we are committed to upholding it in everything we do.
